Aunt Shirley and Uncle Tom's Visit

After a lovely couple of weeks of traveling, I am finally back to enjoy the end of my semester in Northern Ireland. Aunt Shirley and Uncle Tommy came to visit me a few weeks ago and we have some amazing pictures to share with you! We had a few complications with the weather back home and delayed/postponed flights, but when they finally got here it was awesome!

We stayed around the northern coast for the first day, visiting the Giant's Causeway and Dunluce Castle. The next day we went to the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge!! It wasn't too terrifying, but had some really interesting history about the salmon fishing that used to take place there. We headed to Dublin and had a great evening of traditional Irish flavor complete with music and dancers!

The next day, my birthday, we toured Dublin in the morning, drove to Galway and got to walk along the beach at sunset. It was perfect, and then we had a fantastic meal, which just was the perfect end to the day. Thank you both for making my birthday such a special day. It was hard being away from friends and family at home, but this was just amazing and I am happy we got to spend that time together.

The next day we were up to explore the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren -- which is the area we were located in on our drive. The Cliffs were spectacular; a beautiful day well spent exploring the West Coast. Sadly, the next day was the end of the journey. We drove back to Coleraine, stopping at Drumcliffe where Yeats is buried for a quick break.

We said our goodbyes and got a little teary, but I will see everyone soon, so lets not be sad anymore! 4 weeks from yesterday I get to come home, and I honestly just can't wait. Love you all -- giving you my best, photos up of Hayley and me in London/Paris as soon as I can get the pictures loaded!! Love - Megan

I'll rearrange them soon, and add subtitles!

Tyler's Visit, with photos!

Tyler has just been to visit me here in Ireland. Tyler and I had a really nice time together. I went to Dublin to pick him up from the airport, saw the Book of Kells exhibition and the National Gallery in Dublin. We spent that weekend in Belfast with Eamon and his family; Tyler even got to play rugby! After some really good food and lots of fun (bars and late nights with Long Island Ice Teas and rugby players!) we came back to Coleraine.

A quick stop at the Uni Bar on Monday night, then Tyler and I went to the Giant's Causeway for a day trip on Tuesday. Every other time I have been there it has been freezing, but of course, as soon as Tyler comes, we have the warmest weather yet! The whole week was absolutely gorgeous! We had a really nice walk all the way along the top rim of the causeway, then headed down to the coast. We had so much fun just catching up :).

Eamon came to my school on Wednesday for yet another wild night at Kelly's (the local night club). We chilled at the Uni Bar Thursday afternoon, recovering from Kelly's, and went to the Anchor for some Irish music that night! After this, I used my birthday gift to buy episodes of the office on ITunes! It was perfect :)

Friday we headed back to Belfast and met some of Eamon's good friends, Saturday the boys lifted, I slept in, and then we headed into Belfast for a bit of shopping. We met Eamon's cousin who I think has been and lived everywhere in the world, we went to the travel agent then went to eamons and ate left over chinese and chicken and watched premiership highlights and watched wedding crashers then drank and played cards.

Sunday was an early start because we had to go all the way to Dublin for our flights; it was so hard to have to say goodbye.Spending that week with Tyler was like I was back at home again, cooking, watching TV, just doing the normal stuff. I couldn't stop crying the whole time at the airport, and I think Tyler got pretty upset after I went towards my gate too. Somehow, this week has been one of the hardest of my whole time here. I think we got used to being away from each other, and then we realized how much we really missed each other's company. Anyway, the week was wonderful, so Tyler, thank you for coming and visiting me. It was great to have you here, even for just a little while. And now, I am looking forward to the visit from my aunt and uncle tomorrow!!!!!!!!! And Hayley -- be ready to take on London and Paris and don't pack too much!! All my love to you guys at home, take care! Megan
