Castlerock

Hello! This past weekend I traveled to Castlerock with a small group of my friends. We visited the beach, which was amazing, though it definitely needed some more sun and warm air to truly feel like a successful beach visit. People were swimming though and we found a few shells. We headed up to the temple that rests on the hilltop above the beach; it was an adventure to say the least. We went through a trailer park first, named the "holiday village" and ended up staring at the temple from across a ravine (see pictures!) We knew we could get closer so we continued down into the ravine, of course it had rained, Betsy fell, also see pictures. It became like Jurassic Park with the largest plants I have ever seen, but finally we did end up making it to the temple :). We ate lunch in Downhill Castle and had a really wonderful day! This past week was full of rain and rainbows, literally, I saw one everyday, which really does make the rain a little more tolerable. Special note to all those visiting, umbrellas really are pointless, the wind is so strong it just flips them the wrong way. Look at how quickly the clouds and weather change too -- see the beach shots versus the shot of the temple!

Mom and Dad come to visit in just 4 days!!!!!!!!!!!! I am advising you to bring your raincoats and sneakers! Also, Orbit gum. Much love to everyone - I have included pictures of the trip to Castlerock, but should have more soon from Rathlin Island. We are headed there for a short day trip with bike riding tomorrow!

Megan, Your pictures are beautiful. They look just like the "Ireland" in my guide books! I can't wait to see Ireland (and you!) in person next month. Have a great visit with your parents. I've got to go return my umbrella to the store now. Bye....

You're pretty good at this blogging thing, Megan (wish I could say the same for mine; I just get too lazy.

Saw your mom at Artworks today - she's excited about getting to see you!!!

We all miss you!
