Raithlin Island
Hello!! Life has just been too busy to get this blog updated! But here goes - I would like to start with some photos of a few weeks ago of an island we went to off the coast of (Northern) Ireland. It was actually pretty isolated and only about 30 people live there (88 registered but locals dont know who these others are), but they all travel to the mainland for work. Betsy and Arnaud and I went there, and basically walked about 6 miles all around the island because the bike shop wasn't open until April, the story of our lives! Note: All tourists attractions open in late March, early April! We ended up meeting a dog that became our new best friend for the day; we get the feeling he often accompanies tourists around the island, if there are others. Also, we stopped in the only restaurant that only served drinks. The barmaid played snake on her phone and no one really talked to us. As depressing as that sounds, we ended up making it a decently enjoyable day, and there was plenty of exercise involved!! Enjoy the pictures of my adventure on Raithlin Island!
